The Spelunkers Are:

Ryan Marchewka - Bass Guitar - Air Synth - Band Manager

Ryan wears many hats for The Spelunkers. When he is not booking shows, he is running up to Kinkos to print out flyers, arranging guest appearances and basically keeping the rock and roll dream alive. Most importantly he is the Bass player and occasional rap master...oh snap! Ryan has a Masters Degree and is pursuing a career in teaching (until his music career explodes.) Born and raised in Owego, Ryan enjoys playing basketball at the Boys club and working with kids.

Jim Gale - Lead Guitar - He can also make a mean pancake

Jim is our lead guitar player. His style is aggressive and influenced by several genres. You will know when he is about to lay down some crazy riffs when you see his eyes dissappear into the back of his head and the magic happens. Recently Jim has taken a wife and they are the proud parents of a bouncing baby boy. Jim has a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and is currently employed at a local Hospitol. Jim and Ryan grew up down the street from one another and have been playing in bands together since they can remember. When Jim is not playing in the band, he enjoys spending time with his new family and hanging with friends.

Tony Montana - Hand Drums - Crowd Control

No this is not the guy that wants to "Show you his little friend" but he changed his name when he became a citizen of The United States. He native Egyptian name was too hard for the rest of us to pronouce. He picked Tony as his first name because he is half Italian. He picked Montana as his last name because it sounded cool. Actually he didn't even realize he shares his name with a fictional mobster until after he had already begun the name changing process. He plays hand drums and likes to energize the crowd. Many a show has been played where Tony leaves the stage to dance with the fans and get folks drumming on our variety of crowd toys. It must be nice not having patch cords to deal with. When Tony is not playing music he is usally purchasing motor vehicles...he has owned more cars than Henry Ford.

Tom Sickler - Keys - Guitar - Vocals - Songwriter - Lyracist

Tom is a native of Owego. He met up with Jim and Ryan when his cousin introduced them and they did some jamming in a basement (playing out of a huge speaker known only as "Dr. Fong"). He was also friends with Tony Montana, and Ryans father long before. Tom came aboard with the Spelunkers right around the time they were planning a concert in Washington D.C. with other local artists. He is a songwriter and the group quickly incorporated some of Tom's originals, and he added lyrics to an instrumental song called Aaron's song. Tom is married and has three sons in his clan. He attended Mansfield University as a Vocal Music Major and plays keys, guitar, and sings. Tom is also the webmaster, and currently he is tired of writing about himself in the third person...just wierd.

Tom Sheehy - Drums - Vocals - Songwriter - Lyracist

Tom has been all over the country and came to The Spelunkers after relocating to Owego from Wyoming to be closer to his family. The Spelunkers were looking for a new drummer and the guys all got together in Tom's basement and the rest as they say is history. Aside from drumming he is also a songwriter and singer. The two Tom's harmonize well together and thier voices compliment each other's very nicely. When Tom is not playing drums he enjoys the outdoors, home improvements, crashing remote controlled aircraft into trees, and various activities in the arts. Tom has a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations.

Seth Guiles - Photographer - Graphic Designer - Videographer

Although he does not play in the band, The Spelunkers have a secret 6th member named Seth Guiles. Most of the photos you see on our website, flyers, and CD's are created by Seth (a.k.a. sAg). He has known Jim and Ryan since they were playing with Skeletor and He-man action figures. When he is not doing photography or graphic design, or working at a photo studio, Seth enjoys music festivals and a wide range of musical genres. He is also a musician in his own right, and has mad skills with Pro Tools.
